Momokusa Studio ("we") establishes this privacy policy regarding the handling of user information in the iOS app "MetaNote" (the "App").
The App does not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or location. No account registration is required.
The App shows ads served by Google AdMob. To deliver ads, Google may collect:
You choose whether to allow ad tracking (App Tracking Transparency) when you start using the App; every feature works either way. Watching one video ad hides ads for the next 4 hours, and the one-time "Remove Ads" purchase hides all ads. No feature is locked behind a purchase.
Your data — books, excerpts, reading records, and reviewing sessions — is stored on your device. It is never sent to our servers.
The feature that reads text from a photographed book page (OCR) uses the camera and your photo library. Photos and recognized text are processed and stored only on your device and never transmitted.
Files you export (Markdown or JSON) are stored and shared under your own control. If you save them to iCloud Drive, they are protected under Apple's privacy policy. We cannot access their contents.
Payment for "Remove Ads" (a one-time purchase) is processed by Apple. We never receive your credit card details. Purchase status is verified only between your device and the App Store.
Reminders that a book is due for reviewing are local notifications generated entirely on your device. Granting notification permission is optional; every feature works without it.
If you have opted in to sharing crash data with Apple in iOS settings, we may receive anonymized crash reports from Apple. These contain no personally identifiable information.
This policy may be updated without prior notice. Changes take effect when posted on this page.
